The concept behind our business plan is to implement an eco tourism model. Employing people from the local community and using mostly locally produced (and ecological!) products. Family ownership is also a nearby apple orchard, that supply ecological apples, never chemically treated, which shall supply Villa Valea Mare with the apples needed and beverages derived from apples.
Shortly, an ecological system for heating and water heating system shall take over some of the needs of heating, warm water and cooling during summer - solar and heating pumps - shall be installed most probably during 2010. Our high loft, on the other hand, shall serve as a room for drying the linen of the villa - kitchen, restaurant and rooms.
Cuisine shall be mainly Romanian with international dashes, to give a taste of the Southern Romanian area, where the villa is situated. We shall though, not forget, the fact that many ethnical minorities live in Romania - even the area of our villa is well known of having had a German minority. Hungarians living mainly in Transilvania build up a big 10% of Romania's population.
Moreover, the architecture of the house treats the local, Brancoveanu-style, in a modern fashion, with all present-day amneties and comfort. The architectural concept has had an old manor house in mind, expanding, adding and innovating. Materials come from local providers, if it was something we did not find here, we sought somewhere else in the county, and, lastly, if there was nothing there, we found something in Bucharest. Interiors are reminding of the rustic, except the suite, that is rather classical, though not lacking any comfort you may wish.
